What is a general medication refill visit?

A general medication refill visit can be completed to get a short term medication refill. Some reasons you may need a short term medication refill include getting medication so you don’t run out before your next appointment and getting a refill while you are relocating or changing doctors.

If medically appropriate, a provider may provide refills for various medications. Refills will not be provided for controlled substances, including narcotics, stimulants, or sedatives. Refills are commonly provided for the following conditions:

  • Hyperlipidemia
